Before going to Screen Overlay Settings, you must know some basic parameters about Screen Overlay Detected error, so that you can permanently turn off Screen Overlay Detected on your Android device. Whenever you are installing any new application to your Android device then you need to grant certain permissions to that app, and if active Screen Overlay of any app is observed then a sudden popup with message Screen Overlay Detected will appear:

To change this permission setting, you first have to turn off screen overlay from Settings > Apps

How to turn off Screen Overlay Settings:

You can turn off Screen Overlay by uninstalling some applications such as Clean Master, AZ Video Recorder or Night Mode but the best way to turn off Screen Overlay is to change Screen Overlay Settings of all your Android applications. Screen Overlay Detected popup ask us to disable screen overlay before granting permission to newly installed application. You can turn off Screen Overlay by following Screen Overlay Settings:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll Down to Apps.
  3. Click on Three Dots on top right corner.
  4. Click on Configure Apps.
  5. Select Draw Over Other Apps.
  6. Again Click on Three Dots.
  7. Select Show System Apps.
  8. Now turn off Screen Overlay of all Apps one by one.

So these were Screen Overlay Settings in most of the Android devices. But if you have got Samsung device then setting a configuration of Screen Overlay must be something different. We have also got Screen Overlay Settings for Samsung Devices.

Screen Overlay Settings For Samsung

Screen Overlay Settings for Samsung devices such as Samsung S5, S6, J7, J5, Note 4, Note 5 and for all Samsung Devices are bit different. Our purpose of Screen Overlay Settings would be same as to turn off Screen Overlay of all apps in your Samsung Device. Follow below Screen Overlay Settings to disable Screen Overlay Detected on your Samsung Device:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Apps.
  3. Click on Application Manager.
  4. Click on More option on top right corner.
  5. Select Apps that can appear on top.
  6. Again Click on More Option.
  7. Select Show System Apps.
  8. Now turn off Screen Overlay of all apps one by one.

So these were following Screen Overlay Settings for all Samsung Devices such as Samsung S5, S6, S7, J7, J5, J2, Note 4, Note 5 and for all Samsung Devices. We have also got Screen Overlay Settings for LG devices.

Screen Overlay Devices for LG Devices:

If you aren’t able to turn off Screen Overlay on your LG devices, then you can refer to these Screen Overlay Settings especially for all LG devices. These Screen Overlay Settings will work like a charm for LG Marshmallow Models. Follow following Screen Overlay Settings for LG devices:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll Down to Apps.
  3. Click on vertical Three Dots on top right corner.
  4. Click on Configure Apps.
  5. Select Draw Over Other Apps.
  6. Again Click on vertical Three Dots.
  7. Select Show System Apps.
  8. Now turn off Screen Overlay of all Apps one by one.

These Screen Overlay Settings must work for your LG devices. Hopefully, it will turn off screen overlay of all Android apps on your device.
