  1. In the second step for LG it was RESET APP PREFERENCES NOT RESET DEFAULT APPS…in order to get box to open so RESET could be clicked.

  2. I have an LG Fortune with Cricket and tried both steps and still getting the screen overlay error HOWEVER when I check what apps are doing it, it says none

  3. I get to step 5 and then each one comes up with ‘permit drawing over apps’. Do i want to permit drawing over other apps yes or no? It doesn’t come up ‘turn off screen overlay”. It just asks if I want to permit drawing over other apps. I have tried both ways, yes and no, and it doesn’t make any difference. I still get the pop up ‘screen overlay’ massage.

    • No do not permit drawing over other apps, this error must be fixed once you will disable “drawing over other apps” permission to all your apps.

  4. I get the screen overlay detected on my LG 5 . When I try going into my apps from settings I get the message ” Unfortunately, the process com.android.settings has stopped.” ok. So I can’t turn anything off because it stops 2 seconds after i go to apps, no matter how fast i try hitting on the three dots in the upper right corner. Any one have any solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
